Filed under: News, Techie Travel — admin @ 12:23 pm

Today Singapore Airlines announced it will be joining ranks with Lufthansa and offering in-flight high-speed Internet access, as well as four channels of live television. Interestingly, the service is not exhorbitantly expensive. On Lufthansa, internet service costs between $19.95 and $29.95 for long-haul flights or $9.95 for the first 30 minutes and $.25 for every minute thereafter. Singapore Airlines is charging $14.95 for up to three hours, $19.95 for up to six hours, $29.95 for six or more hours or a pay-as-you-go plan that runs $7.95 for the first 30 minutes and $.25 for every minute thereafter. The service will be added to flights along the airline’s Singapore-Frankfurt-JFK route during 2006.
