Hard Rock Hotel’s Little Person War In Vegas

Filed under: Celebrity Travel, Destinations, Las Vegas, News, Uncategorized, Unusual News — admin @ 10:59 am

Tiny KISSJust for a second, we’ll just put aside the disturbing fact that there are enough KISS fans still out there to support not one, but two KISS cover bands staffed by exclusively little people (and one 350-pound lady). The two bands in question – MiniKISS and Tiny Kiss – are in the middle of a legal battle to determine which little person KISS cover band and has the right to perform shows at venues like Beacher’s Rockhouse at Las Vegas’s Imperial Palace. Beacher’s Rockhouse has booked Tiny KISS for performances starting July 1, 2006. Scheduled to open this summer, the raucous show venue is a spin-off of the celeb-studded Beacher’s Madhouse located at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Thickening the plot, the lead singer in Tiny KISS used to be in MiniKISS, but left the band to form his own act. Tiny KISS claims it is completely different from MiniKISS because of its non-dwarf member – a 350-pound female singer. You can read the story from the New York Post’s Page Six in the press section of the Beacher’s Madhouse site.

The point of all this? If you want to see little people perform KISS songs while lots of wasted people sing along, you will want to book tickets to Beacher’s Rockhouse once it opens later this year.
