Over the weekend, a friend produced a funny looking black eye mask like this Lights Out Sleep Mask from Magellan’s and raved about its usefulness on long flights, as well as catching up on sleep when it’s light out (you know, like that 2-hour nap everyone needs after a red-eye flight or a late afternoon snooze at the hotel before heading out on the town with friends). For many travelers, planning hours of total darkness and daylight on lengthy flights that cross time zones can help ease jet lag. Hey, you’ll look like a total tool, but wearing stupid-looking stuff in public builds character. Promise.
