Winter Trails just announced dates for its 2007 events: Jan. 6 and Feb. 17 (in Estes Park, CO only). Each year, Winter Trails organizes a one-day event at over 100 ski resorts around the U.S. and Canada that allows first-timers to try cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking for free. Individuals, families and groups from schools and other community organizations are welcome to participate. So if you ever wanted to try one of these winter pastimes, here’s a free way to do it.
