For rich folks who can’t find their way out of a paper bag, Pioneer’s $2,250 AVIC-Z1 is one fancy-pants GPS system. But it delivers some sweet features with its hefty pricetag. Popular Science recently named it one of “the most lust-inducing” tech toys on the market. Besides allowing touch-screen control for iPods, CD burning, music storage and a “smart routing” system that learns your preferences as you drive, the in-dash navigator uses voice-recognition software so you can ask for directions in conversational language.
