- Bye Bye Stardust
-
The Stardust Hotel and Casino, a name long been associated with Las Vegas, was destroyed today with as much drama as it saw in its lifetime. The building was imploded this morning, as you can see in this AP photograph. A new $4.4 billion “mega resort” named Echelon is slated to take its place. What, a simple re-brand not good enough? At least the old-timer, rumored to have been a favorite for gambling wise guys, went out in a blaze of glory that would have made many of its original patrons proud.
