TravelPost's Passports with Purpose TweetUp and Silent Auction Event: You're Invited

Will you be in Seattle on the eve of Monday, December 6?  Then join Seattle's online travel community and travel bloggers for a glass of wine at our happy hour fundraising event for Passports with Purpose, the organization that is partnering with Friends of LAFTI to build a village for the Dalit population in India.  The event will take place at The Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle between 5 and 8pm. You can get the details and register here. We have a limited number of spots available, so register now to reserve your spot.

There will be a silent auction with some fantastic prizes. If you plan to bid, your tax-deductible donation will be made via check or online at the event.

Passports with Purpose is the annual Travel Bloggers’ fundraiser. In 2009, 90 bloggers participated and raised almost $30,000 to build a school in rural Cambodia. In 2010, they have set their sights even higher and with the help of the travel community, will aim to raise $50,000 to build a village in rural India through a partnership with Friends of LAFTI. At just over $42,000 raised as of today, we at TravelPost are very excited to do our part in helping them reach their goal during this final stretch.

You can read more about Passports with Purpose, and this year's project in India in our interview with the founders.

Thanks to our host Hotel 1000 and our Wine Sponsor Trio Vinters.
